The Soldier can
move any number of free squares along any of the four orthogonals; or,

The Horned Falcon can
move any number of free squares in a straight line in any direction
except directly forwards; or, Lion move: It can move or jump one or two

The Peacock can move any number of free squares along one of the two forward diagonals, then (optionally) turn 90° and move any number of free squares in a perpendicular diagonal direction; or, It can move one or two squares in one of the two rearward diagonals.
The Kirin can step one square in one of the four diagonal directions; or, It can jump to the second square in one of the four orthogonal directions. Because of its unusual movement, an unpromoted kirin can only reach half the squares on the board. Promotion : Great Dragon

If a lion is captured by a piece that is not another lion, the opponent cannot capture a lion on the next turn unless using a lion (in which the above rules apply). These rules were made to discourage an exchange of lion and keep these pieces for most of the game. Promotion : Furious Fiend
